Clients
Our approach to finding the right candidates for a client uses a screening process utilising two interrelated criteria namely; suitability and eligibility. A candidate's eligibility for a role is assessed by reviewing the relevance of their qualifications, work experience and demonstrated skills at interview. However, experience shows that judging solely on this more traditional criterion may not be enough. The difference between an average recruit and an excellent one is far more to do with how they work and behave than their hard skills or what is on their CV. A key element of our approach is to extend the definition of the clients' requirements to include their preferred style of working or behaviour for a potential new employee. This definition of the work style then becomes a criterion against which to screen an applicants' suitability to the role. The right candidates are those who match the clients' criteria for both role suitability and eligibility.
Process
Recruitment projects are completed as a staged process, the structure being adjusted according to the client’s needs. Typically a recruitment project has 5 stages:
-
Role definition
Stage 1 is the preparation of a detailed profile and job description for the position. Work style profiling techniques are used to provide a further screening tool for potential candidates.
-
Market Research
Stage 2 involves any market research required to identify a pool of potential candidates. Candidates are sourced by: screening an extensive database of job seekers; advertising the position and targeted search. Projects may include some or all of these options.
-
Initial Screening
Stage 3 involves direct contact with candidates to assess their interest level, their suitability for the position, and their potential, leading to a shortlist of candidates for presentation to the client.
-
Selection interview
Stage 4 consists of screening interviews to further reduce the shortlist prior to recommending candidates for interview by the client.
-
Client final selection interviews
Stage 5 is the client interviewing and final selection from the short listed candidates.
Recruitment Fees
Our approach is to provide clients with an appropriate consultancy service to manage the recruitment process. Our fees are calculated based on days required to place the right candidate(s), unlike conventional recruitment companies whose charges are based on a percentage of the final salary of appointees.
The benefits to a client are as follows:
The project can be tailored to meet a client’s budget.
The synergies and time savings associated with recruiting multiple candidates together are passed directly to the client.
The recruiting company remains neutral in the salary negotiations.
The process's emphasis is on providing the right employees, whilst focusing a client’s management time on only the critical business decisions in their selection.
